Henriette Müller (born 1961 in Ulm, Germany) lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
Henriette Müller’s abstract layered paintings in various media mirror the fragility and instability of our seemingly certain reality.
As in her music, she is guided by intuition and a sense of inner freedom.
In addition to colours and shapes she creates depth and textures through materials such as gauze, sand, gold leaf or historical textiles.
A wanderer between creative fields, her extended travels in India, Africa and Australia have contributed to the contents and palette of her work.
Australian Aboriginal art, Katharina Grosse, Gyalwa Longchenpa, Claude Monet, Gerhard Richter, Emil Schumacher, and all kinds of music provide inspiration to her.
